Fighting energy poverty – third informational meeting with citizens

The event was organized by Municipality of Brezovo and Green Synergy Cluster, partners in the REVERTER project, which aims to reduce energy poverty in the area by creating road maps for increasing energy efficiency in residential buildings and One Stop Shop for renovation in Municipality of Brezovo.

The topic of the information meeting was RES in households, and the goal was to familiarize all interested citizens with the benefits of introducing RES in their homes and more specifically the construction of photovoltaic installations.

The guest speaker at the event was Eng. Slavi Terziev from PV Power, who presented the main types of solar installations, explained what photovoltaic installations represents and what are their main components. Eng. Terziev also presented various products and solutions, giving information on indicative prices for the construction of a photovoltaic installation in a household.

The event continued with a presentation of the expected financing opportunities for RES in households. Eng. Petar Kisyov from Green Synergy Cluster gave information about the expected finansing program for the construction of RES in households.

Eng. Daniela Kostova presented the already implemented and functioning One-Stop Shop for renovation – Brezovo, created within the REVRETER project. It aims to facilitate the process of renovation of buildings in the Municipality of Brezovo by providing citizens with comprehensive support at every stage of the renovation. The concept includes both a physical office in the Brezovo municipality building and the online platform: www.reverter-brezovo.bg, which gathers in one place all the necessary services and information related to the process of renovation of residential buildings.

The activities that will be carried out in the One-stop shop for renovation in the Municipality of Brezovo will cover:

  • Raising awareness of the benefits of energy renovation.
  • Awareness and training of citizens about energy efficiency in the home
  • Providing information about renewal opportunities
  • Providing information on available financial support schemes
  • Carrying out a preliminary analysis for admissibility when applying for programs for financing energy efficiency measures.
  • Expert advice on building renovation issues and directing citizens to appropriate experts, engineers and organizations.

As part of the REVERTER project, a series of similar events will be organized on different topics, and the next event will be on the topic of Heat pumps for heating and cooling and will be held in September, again in the town of Brezovo.
